
It’s A Fashion Parade
If you thought New York Fashion Week was the biggest time of the year for the fashion industry, then you’d have to turn it into a gala for all 8 days, that’s why fashion reserves to keep one night a year special always, it’s the night of The Met Gala, where fashion elites and celebrities gathered in New York City on Monday night to raise money for The Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s annual fashion exhibit, and The Mark Hotel gets its share of red carpet exposure as those staying there attending the event depart the hotel as tons of fans looked on, and paparazzi snapped away.
As fashion plays a vital role in such high-end circles, The Met Gala’s theme this year is Camp, the attraction to artifice and exaggeration, a place where one or a group of people are in that’s away from the real world, a simulated set up of real life, like in places such as performing arts camp, dance camp, summer camp, or any camp of the like, Anna Wintour proudly hosted this year’s Met Gala along with Alessandro Michele, Harry Styles, Serena Williams, and Lady Gaga.
Literally, all of the fashion world and Hollywood pressed the pause button for this prestigious event to say the least, those attendees included Gwen Stefani, Janelle Monae, Travis Scott, Kacey Musgraves, Frank Ocean, Florence Welch, Maluma, French Montana, Dev Hynes, 21 Savage, Kelela, Anderson Paak, and Chris Lee.
As well as designers: Nicolas Ghesquiere, Jeremy Scott, Julien Dossena, Natacha Ramsay-Levi, & Dapper Dan.
