How Do We Go On?
Fashion Frameworks today held another informative webinar that addresses the concerns brands have about rising above COVID19, finding a way to survive and stay in business, it’s “Preparing for COVID19 Recovery – Solutions for Every Company in the Supply Chain”, brands and retailers alike doing everything they can to live another day.
Both U.S. and U.K. brands share one thing on common, figuring out the first step they need to take when they open their doors and restart their manufacturing plants again, but the biggest concern besides brands hemorrhaging revenue is mold, mold that builds up on clothing that’s been stored unexpectedly for a long period of time because of no activity due to stay-at-home orders by COVID19, figuring out a way to properly store product to prevent mold from forming.
Just as bad as having ruined product that’s unsellable, it’s brands who have better relationships with manufactures because they’re bigger and have larger cash flow to meet their bills on time getting first dibs on their own post-COVID19 recovery, and small businesses being squeezed out because of their business shortcomings, who are not fortunate enough to have access to cash to get their brands back up and running.
Large and small businesses equally need as much hand-up as possible in order to sustain themselves in and out of COVID19, there will be discoveries made also in brands of all shapes and sizes that are either posers going through a just demise, good brands unfortunately demising due to circumstances, or brands stronger than they were before once COVID19 is gone.
Brands, retailers, and manufacturers need to figure out the best way to start up again, meeting the needs of not only their customers, but their employees who need to work again to get above water without employers breaking guidelines and labor laws, and the possibility of finding locations to build new factories to address supply chain issues and new supply chain demands, going according to how confident the consumer is in this new climate.
