Prove Your Earthly

Fashion Mingle and its Mingle Mastermind Group today wrapped up the week with their Friday webinar, reaching out to brands and retailers affected by COVID19, and the pivoting moments conquered to stay in business, this week’s topic was “How To Register As A Socially Responsible Business”, led by law consultant, Shirin Movahed, with Joannaa MacDonald and Andrew Dale.

It’s one thing to declare that you want to create and run a more conscious business, a profitable model that gives back to the environment, being more sustainable which has been the new focus as the fashion industry faces its own upheaval as of then, and now, collaborating to make change and revive quality, not compete for fast results; but remember B-CORP, it’s not only a means of turning your business into a corporation, but it’s the gold standard to being socially responsible.

B-CORP doesn’t stop at filing an application, plus paying fees to get you certified, astringent questioning is asked about your brand and retailer’s products you market as socially conscious, environmentally friendly, organic, grass fed, and such, what your products do to benefit the earth, and how they benefit your customer.

Questions also asked in the B-CORP process are about you, how you benefit the environment, what you contribute, and how you behave with friends, family, and others who know you in many respects, your actions go beyond the business you created that claims to be good to the earth.

Once you get approved as a B-CORP, the work is not over, it’s just beginning, you have to keep proving time and time again that you are a socially responsible brand or retailer in order to keep your B-CORP status, plus the more successful you are, the more you need to monetarily contribute to the B-CORP cause.
