Taylor Swift’s ‘ERAS Tour Film’ surpasses Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ for highest grossing concert and documentary film

TAYLOR SWIFT

Egg Count Doesn’t Lie

Taylor Swift has added another landmark achievement to her shelf of milestones of chart topping hits, box office records, and Grammy wins, it’s “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film” which AMC Theaters declared on Sunday night that it is now the highest grossing Concert and Documentary Film, coming in at $261.6 million, surpassing Michael Jackson’s film, “This Is It”, who previously held the record of highest grossing concert film at $261.2 million.

It’s all thanks to the “Eras Tour Film” opening in China last week on December 31, 2023 to very strong box office returns standing at $8.7 million, which propelled “Eras” to not only be the highest grossing concert film, but also carry the moniker and claim of highest grossing Concert and Documentary Film, “Eras” also stands to gross more revenue in the next week and weeks following China’s initial release.

Despite “Eras” losing out to “Barbie” at the Golden Globe Awards, Taylor Swift was envious in green as Taylor attended the ceremony last night in Los Angeles, California with Kelly green sequin spaghetti strap gown, planting dreams of snakes and New Year’s Eve sparkle hanging around for another week for Taylor’s sake long after 2024 has been rung in, and boyfriend, Travis Kelce, sitting out the Chiefs versus Rams game out at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
