QUEENS ON SCREEN

There’s another Focus Features Broadway project hitting the big screen on August 14 just like Focus Features did monstrously with “Wicked”, it’s “SIX The Musical”. Though it’s not a film adaptation like “Wicked” was, “SIX The Musical” announced today they’re taking its live Broadway performance here in New York City to theaters on August 14. “SIX’s” heart-pounding stage show will get to be shared across the U.S. and Canada to those who are unable to see it live here in NYC thanks to economic pressures post-pandemic. “SIX The Musical” has already had a big screen theater run in the U.K. which “SIX” originated out of the West End. Fans have been begging for this.

DANUEL PLUS LAUREN roots with “SIX” go back to June 2020 where it persevered tremendously to get on stage in spite of on COVID-19 starts and restarts. “SIX” has proved to be nothing but resilient in their effort to finally launch on London’s West End, leading to instant stage success. This musical about 6 former queens of Henry The VIII vying for a spot on a reality competition finally made its way to the U.S. back in 2022 to the heart of the Theater District that’s Broadway here in NYC. “SIX” has proven to be not only sustainable in its run, but profitable avoiding the headwinds of having to close after a short run. And DPL back in 2020 right before the COVID-19 lockdown recommended Broadway go to live-streaming. This continuing venture into movie theaters serves as an honored extension of not only DPL’s contributions, but reaching out to those who still desire stage, but need a an accessible boost to feel the action.
