XOXO 💋 🩸 💜 💔

Olivia Rodrigo at 12:01 a.m. EDT today finally released the music video for “Obsessed”. “Obsessed” is the lead single off Olivia’s extended deluxe album edition of “GUTS” titled “GUTS Spilled”, which includes 5 new songs with some coming from the vinyl vault. “Obsessed” MV takes place in a hotel ballroom with Olivia draped in a black gown that also includes Olivia having bangs (hair extensions). Olivia’s punk pop paranoia invites all the ex-women in her man’s life, all having their own labels of either a summer, a freshmen year, or thought they’d be the one.

“So American” is also part of “GUTS Spilled” by Olivia that not only stands out for its name, but stands out for what it’s not. It’s not a hate song about our country, nor is it even a song about heartbreak in the United States. It’s purely a love song that Olivia writes about had a guy a girl is in love with is just that American Girl that’s everything a guy wants. The result, we are ready to walk down the aisle and live happily ever after. “So American” is also declared as Olivia Rodrigo’s favorite.

Also along this journey of wireless and acoustic celebration by Olivia that only could be found in the 1990’s and earlier times are “Scared Of My Guitar” that lays out one’s vulnerabilities soon after you first pluck the string. “Girl I’ve Always Been” makes a plea to our growing apart friends that no matter what we’ve done, we’re still who we were always. And rounding out Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS Spilled” bonus tracks is “Stranger”, we finally have our happy ending to heartbreak, living to tell the tail of what was once a guy who wrong’d us, laughing at the dark place we fell in, and is now just what the title is, who we know too much about.
