On this second day of Coterie New York FW25 edit here in Hudson Yards, we learn about brands who maintain their aesthetic only to find continuous success. This is a season of rediscovering fashion that provides us not only with warm feels, but high quality style that not even the latest fabric technology can provide. Lifestyle brands were not recently invented, they stem from a nation who’s adopted the coolness and feel that a brand name provides, leaving a lasting mark on pop culture. We must also recognize the power that Coterie New York possesses, one look at a brand that’s right for retail can lead to numerous retail orders thereafter.
MARIMEKKO
Helsinki, Finland, it’s a place where this country relies on its governing body to lead Finland in the right direction. And 70 years ago, Helsinki was also the birthplace of Marimekko, a C-NY brand that’s said to be one of the first-ever lifestyle brands to find existence off the runway. On the floor today was ready to wear tops, bottoms, and accessories filled with print patterns, plus red, black, and silver being the festive color mood celebrated. Marimekko relies on recycled polyester, nylon, and elastane as its choice of sustainable fabrics also celebrating Marimekko’s green mission. Marimekko also has annual runway shows in Copenhagen, where it’s one of the most sustainably sound and modern cities outside the United States.
HiSO
Walking through the Coterie floor, DPL finds themselves very attractive to fine coats, stemming from high quality animal furs with high quality fabrics by HiSO. A second generation family business for 50 years, HiSO produces its own furs in their own factories and offices out of Berlin, Europe, and here in New York. HiSO can be found in many of the high end luxury stores and boutiques all across the globe, selling incredibly fine furs each fashion season. Shillings along with fox, mink, and other animal skins with HiSO are what tell the story each and every season, along with high sustainability through seasonal carry over. FW25 continues the romantic story of HiSO with reversal coats providing beautiful feel on each side, and not forgetting the can’t miss bombers with fur collar lining and leather canvas.
RUDES DENIM
The power of Coterie New York if you have an item that retailers love and their consumers can relate to will guarantee your brand immediate success. Rides Denim is part of that Coterie NY success story when first appearing last fall, got 15 orders from different retailers immediately. Coterie NY awarded Rudes Denim a 2025 Emerging Sustainable Brand for its fast recognition among retailers. For DPL, it literally feels like that good ole Taylor Swift story of countless accolades and success. From a longstanding family of denim production started by George Rudes in the 80’s, Rudes Denim started in January 2024 making solid denim jeans offering stitching detail up the leg, as well as zipper legs in the same order. Colors come in a variety of choices while also paying homage to distressed denim, there’s also denim jogging pants and vegan leather options. One of the biggest items Rudes Denim is giving a comeback to is mid to low rise jeans, but also the biggest denim out there, skinny jeans.

The Coterie New York store is more than just a twice yearly event for brands to showcase their latest items for retailers, it’s a place to truly find your consumer which ultimately leads to success.
