NEW YORK, NY (MAY 12, 2025)
Renowned artist and designer Elizabeth Lyons debuts Alchemy, a new collection of sculptural chandeliers and objects in glass and metal, at ICFF/WantedDesign Manhattan, at booth W863 at the Javits Center from May 18– 20.
Blending fine art with functional design, the exhibit will include new sculptural chandeliers, glass vessels, tables, and wall pieces, using traditional glassblowing as well as metal casting and forging.
Elizabeth Lyons creates objects and lighting that sit at the intersection between sculpture and function; fine craft and art —aesthetically engaging objects that can also be useful in people’s lives, like a sculpture that’s illuminated and casts an ambient light throughout a space or forms that also provide useful surfaces.

“There’s a kind of alchemy to the materials and tools I work with: molten glass, metal, sand-earth, wood,” says Lyons. “Glass is seductive, and its chameleonic nature allows it to mimic a range of other materials like no other medium. As you look at a glass object in a cool, solid state, you can still see the evidence of its past as a liquid that has been frozen in the precise moment of creation. Whether blown, cast, sculpted, or pressed into a form, the beauty of glass lies in its rawness. It’s the elemental qualiity of glass that continues to fascinate me, which is fundamental to how I work with the medium.”
Lyons’ work has been featured in dozens of publications, including Architectural Digest (cover), Elle Decor, Interiors, Vogue, the World of Interiors, the NY Times, House Beautiful, Town & Country, and more. A resident of Rochester, NY , Lyons is the recipient of the Anonymous Was A Woman Foundation Award and has work in public and private collections internationally.
