GOING ON EACH DAY
For those of you who followed and fought hard for Nick Cordero to recover from COVID-19 only to lose his life on July 5, 2020 after a 95 day battle, you for one are still mourning his loss. As his widowed wife, Amanda Kloots, who was there by his side fighting for Nick to come back a stronger man from the effects of COVID-19. Now that it’s been over 5 years since Nick’s passing, Amanda continues to celebrate her late husband each day, with some days being harder than others. Amanda went on to post the only time ever that Nick performed his song, “Life Your Life”, back in 2019 when Nick performed it at 54 Below here in New York City.
Amanda laments on those hard days about what Nick would want Amanda to do, whether it’s to take a trip, speak your mind, have a dream where it all comes down to one thing, “Live Your Life”. Even after 5 years that Nick Cordero has died, grief is not something that you can easily fall in love with. The thing about grief is that it steals every once of joy out of you, it’s there like a backpack, and there’s no timeline on how long grief will stay. The only way to deal with grief that lingers for so long is to interact with it, communicate in the best way possible to understand it more.
Each and everyday, Amanda Kloots still misses her loving husband, Nick Cordero, and all the wonderful things that made Amanda fall in love with Nick. To Amanda, Nick is by far the best person in the world, and all the living aspects about Nick Amanda continues to cherish and miss. The best blessing that Nick and Amanda received out of their love is their son, Elvis, who in every shape and size, are all the best things that came out of Nick. The guilt now is Amanda’s had all of Elvis’s life to see how he’s grown when Nick only had 10 months.
