Curve New York Summer 2025 Is The ‘Object Of Desire’

SKY HIGH HOTNESS

The first Sunday in August can only mean one thing, day one of Curve at the Javits Center here in New York City where lingerie, activewear, and swimwear live. DANIEL PLUS LAUREN in all their life journeys get so fascinated how yarns and fabrics used for bra and panties are also used for leggings and bikinis just spun differently. You can definitely include dancewear in the category of yarns used to make intimates. DPL today came across a curated space here at Curve New York titled “Object Of Desire”. If not for the name saying it all, this curation is inspiration for those who value high-end design. The space was curated by Igor Pacemski, Founder of Noblesse Oblige, and co-curated by Wolf & Badger.

NOBLESSE OBLIGE

Bright colors, satin, doilies, and lace are all comprised to make this nightwear collection, particularly for the GEN Z woman who favors modest boy short. Noblesse Oblige found its inspiration through festivals, freedom, and celebration with cactus prints, fringe trim, and Paris-beaded Solstice lace. The inclusive woman are the rage of the ball here also with vivid recycled fabric. Nightwear is also accompanied by lingerie, loungewear, pajama, and bridal.

ROLLING

Go down to South America, and you’ll come across a special country that is Brazil. DPL praises Brazil not only for the lingerie here, but for the love that Brazil has for dance of any kind that add its own flair to it. Rolling celebrates the scandalous kind of movement that is pole dance with a collection comprised of hard metals, bondage, corsets, straps, and harnesses. And it doesn’t stop with lingerie, Rolling is fashion forward pole dance found also in activewear, swimwear, beachwear, and resort wear. This is one intimates and outerwear that is absolutely not for everyone, it’s only for bodies in motion and minds who don’t obey rules.

There’s no shortage of true feminine lingerie celebration here as blue explores all kinds of bra, panties, and nightwear with Sapph. ALICETEK

To celebrate the future, you have to go beyond American culture, at least 14 hours ahead of New York time to experience the street scene that it Tokyo, Japan. Alicetek has taken lingerie and shapewear 10 levels at least above the legal limit, abandoning the traditional aesthetics of intimates for a high-tech idea. PVC, faux leather, and latex fresh out of the lab all working to explore a bodycon catsuit that DPL was blown away by. This is neo-cyber aesthetic that’s bold, experimental, and edgy that says sorry, not sorry.
