WAIT, WHAT???
Olivia Rodrigo finally broke her silence on Wednesday in a New York Times podcast noted by The Hollywood Reporter about the pedophilia concerns spawned by the babydoll dress. Olivia is not even upset about the backlash against her, it’s the fact that such a harmless outfit is raising concerns from parts unknown. Olivia who’s worn such beautifully scandalous bras and hot shorts during her “Guts World Tour”, simply declared this rhetoric from the old guard that’s fed to young girls.
FROM OLIVIA’S WORDS….
“What’s really disturbing is I feel like I actually have worn outfits that are maybe revealing on stage. I’ve been on stage in a sparkly bra and little shorts, which is my right, that’s fun, I felt cool and comfortable in that. And that wasn’t inappropriate, but me fully covered up in a dress that people deemed to be childlike was inappropriate.”
“I just think it really shows how we really normalize pedophilia in our culture. And also it’s just this rhetoric that were fed as girls since we’re so little, which is, don’t wear that because then a man is going to sexualize your body and it’s your fault. It’s so weird.”
SWITCH BACK TO DPL
This has got to be the craziest controversy sparked by what could be click bait, or even the internet which these days… we don’t know exactly what that is since internet is from 1999/ Y2K. It had to come from somewhere, some type of PR firm who specializes in such controversies. Regardless of source, this surely builds up tremendous hype for “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love” out on June 12. But in the meantime, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Billions Club Live” film is out now on Spotify.
