CLEARING THE AIR
While Olivia Rodrigo sat down with the New York Times Popcast podcast Wednesday to talk her new OR3 era and the babydoll dress controversy, Olivia too did mention the supposed Taylor Swift feud the internet has Olivia and Taylor locked in. Olivia does not read very much into it, it started when Taylor was credited for “Deja Vu” since it sounded like “Cruel Summer”. It was also sparked when Taylor and Olivia attended a Paul McCartney concert and were said to avoid each other last year. Olivia concluded she can’t be an internet detective for every little sleuth there is out there about Olivia and Taylor. It just comes with the territory.

Also, Olivia explained why she avoided this year’s Met Gala back on May 4. At the beginning of Olivia’s stardom, Olivia was open to take any opportunity to get herself out there, which included 3 Met Galas between 2021 and 2023. Olivia declares she’s not really a fashion girl, but also feels she’s proven herself not to attend every function out there and that it’s okay to say no. Olivia also feels like it’s no fun anymore to attend the Met Gala, and that she just wants to focus on her music, this things that bring her joy at this point, being her 3rd album “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love” out on June 12.

Though, Olivia did attend the Saint Laurent Met Gala after-party in turquoise crochet dress.

And after Olivia Rodrigo in proper order talked avoiding Met Gala, then addressing Taylor Swift feud rumors, Olivia then talked about the babydoll dress controversy.
