We know we’ve got 6 days to go till Thanksgiving Day arrives, and may be at a crossroads  where your side dishes need a lift, or you have no idea how to go about Turkey Day beyond the turkey, Lauren Conrad today looks to Claire Thomas to give Thanksgiving sides a shot in the arm.

Right from The Kitchy Kitchen, Claire saves Thanksgiving dinner from the possible wrath of “Peanuts” very own, Peppermint Patty, with inspiring dishes initiated by Sweet Potatoes en Nogada, a Mexican dish right out of Mexico City’s famous dish of Chiles en Nogada, giving chiles Thanksgiving off, and letting sweet potatoes do all the work with ground beef, pomegranate seeds, onions, carrots, celery, raisins, almonds, and tomatoes accompanied by seasonal herbs, and don’t forget the cilantro.

Cinnamon Rolls are one of a kind within their own right at breakfast or even a snack, but Claire Thomas takes them to a whole new level creating Savory Cinnamon Swirls with Bacon and Carmelized Onion, that’s right, bacon and carmelized onion coming together to bring on sweetness in a whole new way, and it’s helped by sea salt, lemon juice, butter of course, egg, and a sprig of sage as if you were making something close to stuffing.

Now ground beef and cinnamon rolls have joined the family of Thanksgiving side dishes not normally seen otherwise, now Claire has got some fish-piration to join the table, so Claire created Fennel “Oysters” With Citrus Scented Olive Oil and Sea Salt made up of trimmed fennel bulbs, and it has a date with lemon juice, orange zest, olive oil, and sea salt that even our friends from the sea will appreciate.
