At Home With The World
Daniel plus Lauren came across a familar design house featured in the last days of Examiner.com about 2 and a half years ago at UBM’s Accessories The Show at the Javits Center here in New York City today that is Mata Traders, the artisan rich brand which continues to grow leaps and bounds since the last meeting with yours truly.
In this world of fashion now growing even more with artisans, Mata Traders continues to grow with 5 artisan corporatives with India and Napal, Mata Traders also does 2 apparel collections a year starting with their 2019 spring/ summer collection that’s out now and selling on the floor, as well as Mata’s fall/ winter 2019 they’re previewing ahead of UBM’s Coterie here in late February.
One of the new things Mata Traders is doing with their collection are organic cotton jersey because there’s a great demand for organic, and Mata’s organic has stretch to it, Mata previously did woven cottons prior to cotton jersey where not only the woven is breathable and comfortable, but the woven was fitted with no give, or no stretch, or no baggy moments.
What’s been in great demand for Mata Traders so far are not only the organic cotton jersey, but sleeve options on the floral prints of their sundresses, as well as midi lengths, and the biggest trend coming in fall 2019 are reversibles where Mata Traders will have reversible dresses that can be worn front ways or back ways where v-dress can be worn front or back.
Surprisingly, the biggest new thing coming to Mata Traders this fall are plus sizes, after offering up only a handful of plus size pieces last fall which had a great response from people, Mata Traders will have even more plus size pieces available going as high up to 2X, Mata’s sizes starting at extra small will range from about size 4 to size 18 (which is 2X).
With a clothing collection, as well as jewelry and accessories that are consciously crafted, Mata Traders makes the fashion world a little more beautiful with their creative designs while keeping in mind the humanity that our planet was built on, leading to an abundance of love from their patrons, and fashion partners around the world.
