Put On Your Best Face

There’s a foundation in our lives that’s true, near, and dear to us, it’s the foundation of putting makeup on our face every single day either when we wake up in the morning, on special occasion, or those one or two nights a year that involve Halloween where we decide to be someone else, we execute makeup as naturally as possible without covering too much up, that’s one of the things that world-renowned makeup artist, Amy Nadine, addresses today on “Asking For A Friend” with Lauren Conrad as Amy has made up quite a handful of celebrities, including Lauren herself.

The biggest thing Amy Nadine stresses about makeup is that it’s used for the wrong reasons, men and women use makeup mainly to cover up their imperfections when makeup should be used in the most natural way possible, makeup should only be used to enhance the qualities about your face, showing off those features in the best way possible which brings out the outer and inner beauty that you were born with.

Amy also gets down to the nitty gritty about makeup tutorials found on YouTube, those that consider makeup tutorials their bible are sorely misguided, because the makeup done in tutorials are not always right for everyone, and it’s hard to recreate that makeup tutorial in real life, plus it produces a bad result where one looks like death.

Amy also stresses that makeup primer is just an up-seller in department stores more so than a helper to one’s makeup regiment, Amy also says there’s hope to do your makeup naturally even if you don’t have all the time on the world, especially busy moms like Lauren is, who’s expecting another child in the fall.

An added bonus too with Amy Nadine today is all the makeup mentioned in “Asking For A Friend” is available now to buy on LaurenConrad.com, where every brand is mentioned with lipstick, foundation, blush, and so on.
