More Drama, But No More Drama

In an effort to avoid all the stress, and mental anxiety that Stephanie Pratt has encountered in the past, and recently in the reboot of “The Hills”, Stephanie Pratt announced Tuesday on her Instagram that she’s not participating in another season of “The Hills: New Beginnings”, which MTV announced Monday was picking up for a second season.

Stephanie proclaims that she’s had enough drama in her life, and is glad to be back in London, England, where no siblings in her life exist, Stephanie’s had her share of drama on screen in her 11 years of doing reality TV, sharing likes and dislikes of people on “The Hills” reboot.

In the few minutes that Daniel plus Lauren has seen “The Hills: New Beginnings”, most of the skeleton that is “The Hills” remains, but it’s been amped as each episode begins not looking previous, but noting the situation for that one episode, with Audrina following in Lauren’s footsteps becoming the narrator.

Now if you’ve been following from the conception of “Laguna Beach” in 2003, and up until “The Hills” ended in 2010, then the biggest rule on “Laguna Beach”, “The Hills”, and “The City” is that there are no confessionals allowed in the film lookalike of these groundbreaking meta-scripted reality shows.

Now, “The Hills: New Beginnings” has broken its own cardinal rule of no confessionals by including confessionals into the show, it seems as if “The Hills: New Beginnings” has the feel of “The Real Housewives” franchise, with characters like Heidi and Spencer reflecting back on their original fame when they had money thrown at them, now it’s all about pinching pennies for the infamous 2.

It’s any wonder that if Lauren Conrad were to come back to “The Hills”, will Lauren Conrad play along with the new format, or will MTV adjust back to Classic Coca-Cola for Lauren (and even Kristin Cavallari’s) sake, it’d be worth seeing, as “The Hills: New Beginnings” is worth a look now.
