Open Sesame

There’s certainly lots of more cooking going on since we’ve been ordered to stay at home to stop COVID19, plus we’re homeschooling and working from home as long as possible, we’re also working out to stay in shape, but it can be hard to come up with fresh meals amidst all the craziness and Chef Boyardee, so there’s hope today by Lauren Conrad and Chef Marlene Bernstein with vegan sesame noodles made fresh and tasty.

This strictly vegan dish is a chicken, pork, or shrimp Chinese Lo Mein dish reimagined for one to easily make, and get their daily dose of veggies in, Chef Marlene fries right from the specialty isle with spaghetti, edamame, sesame oil, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, tamari, sriracha, carrots, firm tofu, garlic, corn starch, salt, and olive oil.

But wait, that’s not even the true vegan part, don’t forget the red bell peppers, bean sprouts, scallions, black or white sesame seeds, lime, spice blend mix to season tofu, lime, spice blend mix for tofu, and cilantro.

Lauren and Marlene’s fans got a first taste of vegan tofu sesame noodles Thursday night on “Instagram Live Calendar” from Laurenconradco with Chef Marlene cooking up this dish at the dinner hour.
