The Goodness In Your Hand

Lauren Conrad teamed up with Laurel Gallucci of Sweet Laurel Bakery today to have a baking party on both Instagram stories, going live to make strawberry shortcake cupcakes, held together by coconut oil, Red Mill flour, pink salt, coconut milk, coconut water, coconut whipped cream, and maple syrup.

While Lauren and Laurel were making this 100 percent wholesome dessert, three takeaways Daniel plus Lauren got were one, maple syrup and pancake syrup are not the same, pancake syrup contains corn syrup and other sugary chemicals, and you cannot market maple syrup unless it’s 100 percent maple syrup, only Vermont Maple Syrup is 100 percent which Laurel uses here.

Takeaway number 2 is that pink Himalayan salt is best, it brings out the flavor and it detoxifies the body of impurities, and 3 is always use a whisk to mix your ingredients, they are blended completely with this cooking utensil than if you use anything else.

Laurel’s son was also doing a little cross promotion when he ran in the live show, he was wearing shorts from the Little Co. collection by Lauren Conrad at Kohl’s.
