It’s Not Right

Lauren Conrad took a pause tonight from the light fare Lauren’s known for on Instagram with a quote by Maya Angelou, and focused on the hurt our country is going through right now with the police brutality witnessed Monday in Minneapolis, Minnesota that George Floyd encountered from an officer that pinned him to the ground by his knee, and led to his death.

As Maya Angelou says, “Hate causes a lot of problems in the world, but it has not solved one yet”, Lauren added that staying quiet about the racism in our country will not help the situation, so Lauren wants to be an ally, and be part of the solution.

Lauren says she doesn’t pretend to understand the struggles of racism because she’s never gone through it, Lauren also owns up that she’s lived a life of privilege.

In all the things Lauren says she could possibly not try or pretend to understand about racism, Lauren’s first step to being a more effective ally is that’s Lauren’s there to listen.
