Claims may be on the rise, but the insured unemployment rate continues to go down for the moment, landing at 4.3 percent while decreasing by 0.3 percent from last week, and the number of those on insured unemployment dropped also by 429,000 to 6,372,000 from 6,786,000, revised too by 15,000 from 6,801,000.
