The United States Department Of Labor continues to report staggering numbers each week for those filing unemployment during the COVID19 pandemic on this one-year-anniversary of when the coronavirus was declared a pandemic, today’s numbers provided hope for the week as claims dropped by 42,000 to 712,000, last week’s 745,000 revised up to 754,000.

The insured unemployment rate continues to descend downward as now it fell below 3 percent to 2.9 percent after staying at an even 3 unchanged for several weeks, last week’s 3 percent however revised up to 3.1, those on insured unemployment dropped once again by 193,000 to 4,344,000, last week’s figure also revised up 42,000 from 4,295,000 to 4,337,000.
