Alber Elbaz, who’s fashion vision rejuvenated brands like Lanvin during his 2001 to 2015 reign, died on Saturday from COVID19, reported today by WWD, Alber is best known in the fashion industry for his intelligence, sensitivity, generosity, and unbridled creativity that took Lanvin out of the brink, and led Alber to create his current venture, AZ Factory, Alber is the second fashion icon to die from COVID19, Kenzo Takada was first to succumb to COVID last October, Alber was 59.
