Amanda Kloots talked about her new book, “Live Your Life” to Maria Shriver on “The Sunday Paper” today where one of the main purposes of this memoir about Amanda’s late husband, Nick Cordero, is to keep Nick alive, simply by just talking about Nick, and all the great things that Nick was to all the people he knew, including his wife, Amanda, and 2-year-old son, Elvis.
Nick also is kept alive through the raw emotions of grief Amanda continues to feel everyday, where the size of grief hasn’t changed, you can only work around grief, and be accustomed to those days where it just feels beautiful, but by bedtime, you’re crying non-stop, as grief can trigger moments when least expected, which Amanda does encounter at times.
Nick’s spirit is also kept alive through the other men in Amanda’s lives such as her father and brother who immediately stepped up to help raise Amanda’s son, Elvis, also today on Father’s Day where Amanda’s family will talk about Nick, and Elvis too will light up when Amanda mentions his daddy, who Amanda makes sure to honor today on Father’s Day along with her dad.
