
There wasn’t that much change today as far as this week’s initial unemployment claims by the United States Department Of Labor are concerned, claims are still going down from March 2020 by comparison and then some, but only by 1,000 to come in this week at 411,000 from last week’s 412,000 which got revised up 6,000 to 418,000.
The only new new low this week came from the insured unemployment rate, dropping 0.1 percent from last week’s unchanged rate to land today at 2.4 percent, and the insured unemployment figure also achieved another new low in the COVID19 pandemic with this week’s figure at 3,390,000 (This is the lowest level for insured unemployment since March 21, 2020 when it was 3,094,000), decreasing 144,000 from last week’s 3,518,000 revising up 16,000 to 3,534,000.
