Summer is upon us. With warmer weather usually means less jeans and more dresses and skirts. Luxury womenswear and size inclusive designer, Gita Omri, shows us that you can dress beautifully and confidently in any size. From midi to maxi length dresses and skirts, there is one key silhouette to look for that designers and style experts say will be flattering on every body type: flowiness. This season, it’s less about tight, form fitting styles and more about pieces that are loose in all the right places.

“Flowy dresses and skirts are going to be flattering on every woman regardless of size. When designing my collection, my goal is that I want a woman to feel gorgeous in what they’re wearing whether they are a size 0 or 30,” Gita says. Flowy, airy dresses and skirts are also so much more comfortable and easy to wear in the hot summer months. And if that’s not reason enough to wear them, these styles give the illusion of either more or less curves, making a flowy dress or skirt the perfect fit for every shape. While one of the most important things to look for is an accentuated waist, Gita says, however, “I don’t usually design for the true waist. I find that moving a little higher (between a true waist and an empire waist) is more universally flattering. This will compliment any figure with highlighting your natural curves.”

As a body positive activist, Gita says, “Our mission is to reintroduce fashion as a tool to enhance one’s confidence and self-esteem. With my label I seek to empower women to present themselves to the world in their true form with pride, acceptance, and authenticity.” Whether you’re dressing casual for the office or a special occasion, here are cute and flattering flowy dresses, skirts and yes even crop tops that will look amazing on every woman’s shape and size.
