BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS

By Victoria Weber

Tate McRae crushed it in a blue sequined crop top, booties, and oversized silky black joggers for her performance at the 2023 Billboard Awards. Looking like a total babe, she dripped in diamond rings by Zydo Italy, high-end jewelry that’s handcrafted in (you guessed it) Italy. The rings were supplied by the celebrity PR firm, D’Orazio & Associates, who have styled red carpet looks for Taylor Swift, JLo, and Oprah to name a few. The awards were held on November 19th at the Moxy Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. It’s a shame you missed it if you weren’t there or didn’t catch it on Billboard’s digital and social media platforms.

Tate was styled by Brettalan Nelson, who styled artists like Doja Cat and Karol G, and assisted by LJ Perez and Tumas Zarskus, who have also assisted Karol G. About the jewelry she donned: Zydo was founded in 1972 by Davide Zybert, and is now run by Zybert’s 3 sons, Jack, Eli, and Roberto. Zydo’s pristine cuts have supported the brand in becoming one of the most respected jewelry distributors in the industry, such that they are regularly worn by celebrities, such as Tate.

Backed by a crew of male dancers, Tate crushed the performance with her lip dripped slurring of her banger “Greedy”. Her performance closed with a sexy shot of her looking over her shoulder. If you haven’t heard of her, think the Gen Z era of pop princess Taylor Swift on steroids mixed with cultural references latent to the millennial generation. It figures that Tate and fellow Gen Z pop princess Olivia Rodrigo are besties. You can catch Tate on all major streaming platforms.
