Conceived as a creative exchange between the two cultures that shaped its founder, the rich textures of New York and Mumbai are woven throughout the tapestry of the brand. SHWETAMBARI’s mission is to showcase the luxurious and artistic side of India. Meticulously executed, each piece highlights the richness of Indian craftsmanship, emphasizing intricate details and their heritage. About the designer: Shwetambari Mody
At the age of seventeen, Mumbai-raised designer and fine artist Shwetambari Mody moved to New York to study Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She would go on to spend time living in Paris, where she earned her MBA in luxury brand management from ESSEC Business School, before returning to New York to start her eponymous label, SHWETAMBARI. Each of her collections start with original artwork from her colourful paintings, and what started as a creative outlet has now become one of the brand’s signature elements. With offices in Mumbai and New York, the designer now shuttles between the two cities, where she continues leading SHWETAMBARI into a new generation of luxury.
