Negris LeBrum had his fall and winter 2024-25 World Peace Collection Monday night for New York Fashion Week at Daylight Studios near Union Square here in Manhattan. The designer took his “World Peace Collections” inspiration from the war going on right now between Palestine and Israel. Also the fact that he wants the war to end and the world to be at peace. In reference to this, Negris’s opening number was a sweater dress written on the front with the words “World Peace” inscribed in Hebrew and Arabic.

His collection of suits and dresses was inspired by the styles of the 1970s. Silhouettes consisted of wrap dresses, tailored pant/short/skirt suits, jumpers over sweaters, dresses, jump suits, and coats. His color scheme was red, brown, black, cream and beige. The use of a tweed fabric in the colors mentioned in the previous sentence was mixed with accents of orange/red ostrich print in a heavy pleather (high quality vegan leather that won’t peel from moisture in your closet) fabric that was used as trims. That orange/red ostrich was also used as the making of suits and jumpers. Other fabrics consist of a shimmery nylon fabric in copper with gold threads going through it and this was used in wrap dresses and soft pantsuits. His jumpers can be worn over a sweater/blouse to the office or as a sleeveless dress to go to a dinner or out for cocktails after work. The wide lapels on dresses/jackets, patch pockets on jackets and wide waist belts are all features from the disco era in fashion. Skirt lengths range from micro mini to knee length.
