OWNERSHIP IS SO WONDERFUL
Taylor Swift’s wholly-owned catalog of music that she produced since 2019 made its comeback on TikTok. X fan account, @TheSwiftSociety, reported the discovery today as songs from albums such as “Lover”, “Folklore”, “Evermore”, “Midnights”, and Taylor’s re-records of her original masters were all present for TikTok users to play on their posts. Universal Music Group pulled all of its music catalog from all the artists they have in their conglomerate of labels on February 1 since UMG claimed their artists were not getting fair compensation from TikTok. Other music groups also followed suit to join in the monetary protest founded by UMG.

Currently, Taylor Swift’s original masters she currently does not on remain off TikTok. And since Taylor has “The Tortured Poets Department” album getting released next Friday, Taylor took advantage of the wholly-owned music she does own to put back on the social media platform. Plus, since Taylor-owned music has become more popular than the original masters not owned by Taylor, Taylor possibly could have made a deal with TikTok for her music to be readily available. All forms of social media are now turning up the heat on “The Tortured Poets Department” release on April 19, anticipated to be yet another groundbreaking album both musically, high downloads, high streams, and high record sales in the heavens to say the least.
