Dell Scott on the runway with SS25 collection at New York Fashion Week

Dell Scott’s NYFW runway show took place at the Mriya Gallery, 101 Read Street in Manhattan on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Since the show took place at 2 PM and the gallery had big windows there was plenty of natural light to show off all the beautiful colors that Dell used in her collection. For a little background on Dell Scott; she is an American Couture Evening Wear Designer. 

The elegant, beautiful, understated and classy collection is for Spring/Summer 2025. Prism is a luxury formal wear collection consisting of luxurious silky satins, sequins, chiffon and tulle fabrics. In my interview with her, she told me that she was inspired by bold colors of goldenrod, Kelly green, Fuchsia, mazarine blue, multicolor ombre and blush pink. Her feelings on the colors of this season were to stir emotions, evoke passion and captivate the senses. 

Form fitting is the look of her silhouettes and they will show off all your curves. High slits, plunging necklines, one shoulder blouses, high low skirts are what makes these dress very sexy.  Some of the features that make a woman feel ultra feminine are cascades of ruffles, whether they are adorning the hem of a baby doll dress, the edge of a front slit skirt or on the edge of a sleeveless dress. Some of the styles were sleeveless deep V neck jumpsuits, spaghetti strap babydoll dresses, one shoulder blouses with slits in the long sleeves, skirts with slits and shirring at the sides, sleeveless deep V-neck poof skirt dresses and ombre chiffon one shoulder peasant dresses.

I’ve been going to this designer’s show several seasons now and she keeps getting better every season.  She has something that will look amazing on a tall thin woman or a for a lady that wants to draw the attention to her bust and away from her hips.
