Zang Toi’s New York Fashion Week Runway Show took place on February 13, 2025 in the Park Avenue Christian Church in Manhattan. His fall/winter 2025 Couture Collection was called Opulence of Orient Express. He based the collection on internation Jet Setters (people) making a grand entrance onto the newly relaunched opulent Orient Express Train wearing his beautiful and glamourous Couture Collection of clothing and accessories. Zang doesn’t follow trends nor what anyone is else is doing in the fashion industry. He has own ideas of classic and tailored clothing for women along with some men’s styles. I’ve been going to his fashion shows for over 30 years and what I saw in his collection from back then is so timeless and classic that it could still be worn nowadays and not look dated. He designs clothing to make a woman feel beautiful and glamourous, by using the best European Fabrics in jewel colors with plenty of added embellishment with the use of jeweled trims on the clothes. Zang is a master of fit and his clothes fit impeccable on all the models.

The opening scene of the runway show was about strolling the ancient Grand Bazaar in Istanbul in a silk organza print floor length caftan.
The day scene was about making a grand entrance onto the Orient Express in beautiful suits, coats and dresses adorned with genuine fur and jewels. I loved his use of colors such as sapphire/navy/black mixed, emerald green and of course black. Luxury fabrics such as a water repellent silk faille fabric used in a peak lapel overcoat lined with carpet silk twill print that could be worn over suits, dresses and jumpsuits and if it rains unexpectedly you won’t have to worry that you will ruin the coat. The emerald mohair peak label overcoat had a hand -beaded Louis XV medallion on it to make it stand out from any other coat you will see strolling up and down Madison Avenue but practical enough to be worn in the daytime to keep you warm in winter.

On the Orient Express New Years Eve Soiree Scene was about the Jet Setters mingling and flaunting their show stopping evening dress and glamorous gowns on the train. One of his show stopping looks was a royal genuine peacock feather and crepe print mini dress adorned with a peacock green ribbon bow. In another look, Zang used a multi strand diamond chocker with hand beaded sapphire and diamond crystal crosses on sapphire French metallic leather strapless mini dress that was so stunning and nothing like I’ve ever seen before.

Zang Toi’s New York Fashion Week Show was the best I had seen all fashion week. He makes clothes for real women who want to look regal/glamourous not grungy/ waif like. I’ve only mentioned a few styles above because he had so many very pretty looks. Every look was jaw dropping because they were all so exquisite!! To see his collection please visit WWW.ZANGTOI.COM. To order the creations you see in the photos and have Zang personally fit you email: zangtoi@houseoftoi.com or call 212-757-1200. If you don’t reside or aren’t planning to visit NYC, then please contact the company because Zang does travel to stores across the USA to do trunk shows where you can order the look you like best there.
