Lauren’s New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 runway show took place on February 9, 2025 at Time to Be Happy Gallery in the Bowery. The title of her show was Future Relics which was all about one-of-a-kind clothing made in her Brooklyn Studio. What Lauren does is repurpose vintage clothes to make them a totally new piece of clothing. The term for this is called upcycled clothing.

Since the name of the gallery was called “A Time to be Happy” then her collection reflected that happy theme. Bright colors were used throughout the collection. Many garments were hand painted including platform boots that matched or coordinated with the garment the model was wearing.  Colorful buttons were sewn on everything. Circle pins in black, white, blue filled up wide lapels.

She deconstructs clothes by ripping apart the garment that is vintage and takes some of the pieces and sews them together and it becomes a totally new garment. One repurposed style included a 1970s patchwork crochet vest with sleeves from a cream color angora sweater that she attaches to the vest and then added crystals on the sleeves.

Ericson Beamon bold statement jewelry made in NYC was seen on every model. Some styles were big earrings, pearl and chain necklace, layered chains in a necklace, colorful bracelets with pom pom charms, and cuffs with big gemstones. To purchase any of the jewelry in the photos please call Showroom Seven, 646-479-0777 or email mandie@showroomseven.com.

The gallery was all about vintage time clocks from when people had to punch a card in a time clock coming into the workplace, breaks and leaving the workplace. This gallery is open to the public too. Time to be Happy Gallery, 219 Bowery, NYC, NY 10002
