COTERIE

Coterie was held at the Javits Center in NYC on February 18 – 20, 2025. It’s an upscale tradeshow on women’s contemporary styled shoes, accessories and clothing that caters toward retail stores and websites. The show is all about the most fashionable styles that are new in the market. The photo above is African Fashions because they had many brands from Africa showing this year and the display was done by FIT students. Instead of me telling you the trends here I will describe them under each designer and the photo of the brand will speak 1,000 words. HANOUT

A very feminine collection of clothing designed and made in Marrakech, Morocco. The collection was inspired by the feminine ladies of Morocco and the edginess of London women. Lots of details from clothing of the 1970’s such as wide legged pleated pants, long full skirts, puff sleeves, deep plunging necklines, pleating on blouses and ruffles on the yolks of blouses. PATRICIA MOTTA

A collection of couture lambskin leather clothing handmade in Brazil by hand. On of the unusual styles can be seen in the right side of the photo above. An artist paints on the leather a motif and then it’s embroidered on top of the art.  Some other artist treatments to the leather are: cutouts done with a knife by hand to keep the leather soft, and crochet inserts into the garment. LE BORO

Very artistic shoes/boots made in Brazil in leather including leather linings and soles. A collection of embellishment using fun calf on boots as seen in the photo above, buckles on flat Maryjane shoes and in the pointed toe heels in the photo on the bottom. Ladies that are looking for high heel pumps with pointy toes and ankle straps then this collection has many colors with a beautiful metalic treatment at the heel and they also come in fur calf for the fall/winter season. Magic is Coterie’s sister tradeshow and runs at the same time. Magic is all about trendy fashion for a customer that doesn’t want to spend $1,000.00’s on fashion. I’m in the photo above and my look is totally Magic because it’s trendy with the bubble skirt which is a major fashion statement this season. ZENZII

I love this jewelry line because it’s colorful and not the skinny metal chain necklace that has been in fashion forever. This jewelry is made of resin and is bright and colorful to go with spring/summer 2025 fashions. Bold and beautiful describes it perfectly. A tailored eco friendly leather collection of shoes made in Portugal. This photo is the fall collection 2025 of boots and shoes. Classic but easy to wear styles is what this brand is all about. Classic low and knee-high boots with blocked heels. With maximum 4-inch heels so you can walk in the city streets all day with them on. I personally like the two-tone Maryjane styles with a low block heel to wear with A-line skirts for daytime in colorways such as navy/wine, olive/wine, black/wine.
