LIVE EVOLUTION

Art On Paper New York at Pier 36 Thursday night was proud to present the Debbie Dickinson Gallery of “Convergence”, consisting of works focused on how each artist interprets evolution until Sunday. In the midst of the sold out crowd at Art On Paper NY, “Convergence” attracted throngs of people who share a keen interest on how colors, graphite, and acrylics create an opportunity to see how one’s aspects grow immensely. It’s also a curated space to challenge not only how you see art, but how you use critical thinking in real time.

Opening night for “Convergence” gave us Al Diaz who uses his words to express the toleration of war, imperfection, and civilization as just the usual. Anthony Haden-Guest also has expressed written concern about technology, low bids, and paranoia with Anthony’s cartoon ink talent that colorfully illustrate society’s love for flaws. Bill Buchman takes his use of acrylics to show off the evolution of his Zentopia works that started out as a minimal barrier before adding more detail in later paintings having more amenities. Carol Bolger takes graphite, acrylic, dye, and arches to new heights with stacked houses, pools, split levels, and sketches of beautiful creatures.

Iran Issa Khan gave extreme light to her iconic painting of “Golden Pleasure” where you imagine not only a beautiful flower, but a beautiful moment you’re living. Michael Katz takes his multicolored use of mixed media to witness the sun dancing in a thunderstorm, Exodus, and a Sumo Dance. And S.L. Fuller brings over her collection of girls who live through decadence, being carefree, and having no regrets.
