DARK & STYLISH

Uncertainty, after a whole year of turmoil along with the prior 4 years of still trying to figure out what style is, we’re still asking when it’s coming back. We haven’t had a relaxing moment about how men’s aesthetics has gone in a dark and ancestry direction. The same can be said for the upcoming Fall and Winter season as men’s still finds stability and function. Informa’s Men’s Trends seeks out design aesthetics of Tough & Tender, Functional Flair, Still Power, and Wild Heritage.

Social turmoil and unrest are pushing us into the shadows, allowing us to explore darker truths and uncomfortable feelings, inspiring design that embraces rawness and finding beauty in the imperfect. Consumers are embracing a mood of quiet taboo, seeking tailored pieces with distressed finishes and romantic details that signal depth, edge, and emotional complexity. Colors include Sahara sun, Buckthrown Brown, Citronelle, and Poinsettia. Men’s Contemporary includes satin dress shirt, athleisure suit pant, tailored & textured, and heavy sweater polo. Men’s Young Contemporary also involves leather trench, cut out vest, textured biker jacket, and tailored leather pant. Men’s Accessories include horsebit oxford, structured toe, slide metal belt, and matte oval frames.

As information floods in and truth feels uncertain, consumers are turning curiosity into action-seeking knowledge, embracing learning, and expressing intellect through intentional, considered style. Consumers want environments that affirm both their individuality and their desire to learn. This shift fuels the rise of modern members’ clubs and drives style preferences toward pieces that feel studied, expressive, and subtly clever. Colors include black jam, caramelized, clarity, bull orange, and black. Men’s contemporary items are revised dress shirt and playful wide leg, young with statement Mac and collared intarsia knit, and accessories being low profile trainer and ultra thin tote.

In a moment of relentless acceleration and fleeting attention, there is a collective desire for stability and meaningful connection. As people seek to recenter, conscious consumption emerges as a guiding ethos for design, rooted in simplicity and timelessness. Consumers are slowing down and becoming more selective, choosing products that add clarity, ease, and emotional value to their routines. They look for brands that deliver calm, timeless design and a sense of honest connection. Colors include coconut milk, stable grey, and after midnight. Men’s contemporary and young includes shining coach, future sweats, pointed puffer, and drawstring khakis. Accessories include tactile slip-on, and folded top weekender.

In a world where wasteful consumption and instant gratification have become the norm, the ability to slowly savor and experience fully are turning into the ultimate luxury. As daily life becomes more volatile, consumers are returning to the sensory honesty of nature: the steadiness of seasons, the repetition of natural patterns, and the quiet calm found in elemental surroundings. Colors include blue shadow, monk’s robe, and potter’s clay. Contemporary all around with accessories involves outdoor chore coat, blanketed bottoms, and rounded suede boot.
