The New York Knicks and us here in New York City tonight have won the NBA Finals. A first since 1973, the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs on their home court 94 to 90 in Game 5. Once again, the Knicks came back after leading in the first quarter but getting far back till it picked up before halftime. The second half was a nail biter at best as the Spurs tried to keep their lead, but the Knicks chipped away little by little to win the title.

Jalen Brunson, the 2022 acquisition by the New York Knicks, was the MVP of the NBA Finals. Brunson pulled the Knicks out of an early deficit behind the Spurs all the way to reclaim the lead in the 4th quarter. Brunson led this team to new heights not seen since the 1970’s and all throughout the 1990’s.
