Jean Shafiroff, Philanthropist, TV host, and author hosted a private reception at her New York City residence in support of the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center ahead of the organization’s 37^th Annual Summer Gala, which will take place on July 11^th, 2026 where Jean will be one of the event’s honorees.

The gathering brought together over 100 guests including key members of the SOFO team, supporters, and leadership of the museum along with celebrities, socialites, fashion designers and business leaders. Together they shared an evening celebrating SOFO’s mission to inspire conservation, environmental education and a deeper appreciation of the natural world of the South Fork. SOFO received a citation from New York State Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright and Jean Shafiroff was also presented with a citation for her leadership in philanthropy. The reception served as a kickoff to the museum’s highly anticipated summer benefit, one of the Hamptons’ signature philanthropic events.

About Jean Shafiroff:

Jean Shafiroff is a philanthropist, humanitarian, TV host, writer, and the author of the book “Successful Philanthropy: How to Make a Life By What You Give”. Jean works extensively as a volunteer fundraiser and leader in the philanthropic world. A Catholic,  Jean  served on the board of the Jewish Board for 28 years and now is one of their honorary trustees. Jean Shafiroff has been honored numerous times by a variety of charitable organizations for her work and is regarded Jean as being among the leading ladies of philanthropy.
