Le Fou is a cocktail bar with a deep, mysterious atmosphere, designed by Theresa Obermoser Design and recently opened in the heart of Vienna.

Conceived as an “anti-trend” response to minimalist aesthetics, the space is composed of four interconnecting rooms arranged around a central stone bar. Each room reveals its own identity, with wall coverings and bold color palettes glimpsed beyond rich draped curtains.

In the Main Room, rust-toned walls and moiré-effect wallpaper set the scene for Sogni di Cristallo glass chandeliers and striking red velvet sofas.

The Blue Lounge is defined by an arabesque blue palette, balanced by polished and satin brass details, textured wallpaper, and curtains by Beata Heuman.

In the Golden Lounge, enveloping olive-green seating, Art Déco-style wall and ceiling lighting by Sogni di Cristallo, navy blue accents and lacquered surfaces are enhanced by Lizzo’s peacock-motif fabric.

Finally, the Leopard Room is the venue’s most distinctive space, entirely covered from floor to ceiling in Pierre Frey’s iconic leopard print, completed by blown-glass ceiling lamps by Sogni di Cristallo and stone side tables.

The project, developed over the course of a year, brought together Austrian artisans and prestigious international maisons such as Arte, Beata Heuman, Pierre Frey and Dedar, with the aim of celebrating manufacturing savoir-faire and artisanal excellence, creating a dialogue between tradition, research and contemporary design. Sogni di Cristallo takes its place within this showcase of fine craftsmanship, having created the wall and ceiling glass lighting — custom pieces with striking scenographic impact, capable of amplifying the venue’s evocative, mysterious and enveloping atmosphere.

 Sogni di Cristallo was founded in 2012 from an idea by Marco Borile (b. 1985), to bring Venetian craftsmanship to the world through a multilingual e-commerce platform. Thanks to an innovative strategy, the brand quickly established itself in the luxury contract sector, collaborating with more than 40 international designers and studios, including Martin Brudnizki, Ken Fulk, Soho House, Charles & Co, and Roman & Williams, and delivering prestigious projects such as Annabel’s Mayfair, Soho House properties, several Belmond hotels, and renovation projects for the MGM group in the USA. The company has continued to grow, opening a London branch in 2019 and, in 2025, a new New York office to support its expanding presence in the American market. In parallel, it has developed the Cast Glass project, launched in 2025, which expands into cast-glass architectural elements and further consolidates its position in luxury design and architecture.
