Malan Breton’s Spring/Summer 2027 NYFW show took place on Sunday, September 13, 2026 and was part of the Runway 7 group of fashion week shows. It took place at Sony Hall, 235 West 46th Street in The Paramount Hotel . The space was formally a theater built in 1938 but has been renovated recently. The space still has retained its charm with Art Deco and Baroque design elements along with a state-of-the-art Sony sound system.

The theme of the show was Le Jardin des Mille Demains meaning ” Garden of a Thousand Tomorrows.” Malan showed men’s and women’s fashions that would be perfect to wear on a warm night for a formal event. I have been attending his shows for many many years now and he has never wavered from showing an exist collection of colorful tailored suits and tuxedos for men. The menswear had lots of 1970s influences with fitted double breasted jackets and flared trousers. Guys wearing one of his turquoise suits worn with a shirt in a darker shade of turquoise will look anything but plain and boring in a room full of black suits and tuxes. You will stand out in the crowd in one of his cutaway jackets with camouflage print pants. For daytime he did dark denim suits and trench coats accented with white stitching. Malan is known for mixing bright color combinations such as an orange color jacket over raspberry color pants that can be worn day/night.

The show opener was a turquoise suede waist length jacket with super long fringe for women that was truly a show stopper and is perfect for chilly spring weather when worn with denim. That same jacket was shown in red suede on another model later in the show. Bright red, turquoise, black, aqua, acid green and shades of pink were the pretty colors he used for this collection. Now you can wear the same suit as he makes for the men but fitted for a woman’s body. His collection of show stopper gowns are perfect for any red-carpet event and are very feminine. Gowns had corset tops that went into a V shape at the hips with a fuller skirt. Ladies will make their grand entrance and exit in gowns with long trains in high low dress in a pretty tartan plaid. For daytime Malan did red and black genuine leather suits with knee length skirts and short jackets.

Crystal Waters closed the show singing her famous hits from the 1990s along with two backup dancers in a black Malan Breton tuxedo.
