Coterie and Magic took place at Javits Center in NYC, September 9-11, 2026. Both are tradeshows for women’s fashions. The difference between them is Magic caters towards a Young Contemporary customer who wants trendier styles at a less expensive price point. Coterie is more of show for the gal who wants better fabrics in fashion but still wants to look stylish and will pay more for the fashions. MAGIC
Holiday is all about sparkle and shine in sequins and asymmetrical satin tops in halter styles. Sweaters are worn over sequin skirts for a casual holiday look. Lingerie as outwear in the form of slips/camisoles/tap pants. Low rise skinny jeans return according to the sales staff at the Judy Blue Jeans brand. The photo above shows the trends from Magic on mannequins so it’s to see what they would look like on the body. Most of the photos have signs with brands on them so if you like something do a web search on the brand to buy it BUT remember fashions from tradeshows are usually a season ahead of what is for sale on their website.
GLOWIE
An athleisure brand based in Los Angeles that I interviewed at Magic. This collection is fit tested on the company’s sales people and they have to approve the fit prior to production. Performance at the gym is what this line is geared towards with a fabric in 75% nylon and 25% spandex in a high-quality fabric. Sports bras have a double layer of fabric so you can’t see thru them and they offer lots of support for big boobs. A racer back style bra is available for someone who wants a different style top. Other sport specific styles are a wrap dress that is good for pickleball/tennis. Sweatpants with racer stripes down the side to make them look different than what is already in the market. Some colorways are burgundy/pink, brown/pink and navy with icing (color) trim. Sizes S M L, Retail $40.00 – $88.00. Learn more at www.feelglowie.com.
LOVINE
Now something for the Missy customer (at Magic Tradeshow) who wants to look more covered than her Young Contemporary daughter. This collection is all about evening dressing for the club/holiday parties, weddings, religious events and other formal events. Styles include long/short cocktail dresses, two-piece dresses in sleeveless, short/long sleeves and everything is lined for modesty. Even covered up you can look elegant in chiffon, lace, jacquard, satin, velvet and metallic knit polyester fabrics that are machine washable and good for travel. Ruffles on neck and edge of sleeves draw the attention to your face and the beautiful rings on your hands and away from your figure flaws. Sizes XS – XL and 1X – 3XL. Prices are very reasonable $70.00 – $128.00. Shop now at www.brooklinkcollective.com.
COTERIE
This is where I walked the floor and studied the trends to bring to my readers. The biggest trend is the blue color striped tailored cotton shirt or shirtdress (think as in men’s shirt fabrics). For the fashionista there is suede fringe on jackets and purses. Reembodied lace was embellished with rhinestones and pearls for a girly look in soft dressing. Newness in jewelry was a return to colored big beaded necklaces which haven’t been popular in decades. Kitten heel thong sandals are the it style for summer in shoes and jazz shoes that haven’t been popular since the 1980s are trending again in soft Nappa leathers. Expand the photo to see the brands and all these brands sell directly to consumers, so if you like something you see in the photo then they might have it on their website.
TESH
High-quality straw hats made in Ecuador and finished in Palm Beach; Florida were a new vendor to Coterie. The hats are made of toquilla straw which is sustainable and grows back after you cut it. Kids/men’s/women are carried on line and in their store. You can also get a hat custom fitted for your head. If you need a case to carry them around in, then they have a handmade leather case $950.00. Sizes are XS – M – L – XXL.
