Lauren Conrad used her guest celebrity editor position at Us Weekly Wednesday to spread the word on how you can throw yourself a murder mystery Halloween party.
Traveling back to the 1920’s, Lauren suggest your party guest assume roles and follow the clues that will help you find the killer, Lauren says its an opportunity for you to be someone other than yourself on Halloween night.
And you cannot miss the Halloween cake Lauren came up with where you take a simple 3 layer cake and covering it with black sprinkles on it, and a pair of scissors decorated on top.
Building On A Passion Project With A Friend
Lauren Conrad spoke with Forbes magazine too Wednesday about creating The Little Market from the ground up with friend and co-founder, Hannah Skvarla.
After seeing lack of financial stability with women in places like Bali and El Salvador, Lauren and Hannah got inspired to create The Little Market after a trip to Tanzania and Uganda where rural artisan groups were working together to make handmade products.
From there, The Little Market was created for the sole purpose for artisan women to earn a living wage so they can support themselves and their families.
The Little Market since its inception 3 years ago has membered with the Fair Trade Organization holding itself to nine fair-work and payment standards becoming a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit.
