The Sun Shines In More Places Than Ever

October has always been a favorite month for Lauren Conrad, but it’s this date since 2013  that always has special meaning, it’s when Lauren launched The Little Market with good friend, Hannah Skvarla, and today is its fifth anniversary.

Sure, Lauren celebrates every year on October 24th, but hitting the five-year milestone is something Lauren and Hannah must be stoked, let alone proud of, The Little Market gives female artisan women from around the world a chance to sell their artisan products where they can make a livable wage to support them and their families.

When The Little Market launched, having 8 artisan groups spanning over 5 countries was alone a big feat to start off with, but since then Lauren and Hannah have expanded to what is now their reach of artisan women to 65 artisan groups over an astonishing 28 countries.

Lauren and Hannah’s mission for The Little Market is, always has, and will continue to be an advocate of female empowerment, educating those that are female refugees, at-risk mother, and ethnic minorities, as well as marginalized groups supporting female artisans in remote areas prioritizing fair trade principles, all where human rights and social justice issues are challenged everyday.

For Lauren and Hannah, each product at The Little Market has a story, a person, and beautiful techniques behind it, both continue those aspects with the opening of their new brick and mortar store, and the future continues to be bright for The Little Market.
