Keeping The Spirit Going
Elena Slivnyak, known for her cutting edge and futuristic designs adored by Lady Gaga, Debbie Harry, Tyra Banks, Annie Clark, and many other notable iconic figures is launching something new.
Slivnyak has taken the painful loss of her sister, Kristina, and created a new high-end affordable women’s brand, MYKRISTI (pronounced, MEE-KRISTI).
In dedication to her sister, MYKRISTI isn’t just a brand catered to women. It’s a movement.
Slivnyak hopes to bring more awareness to mental health while empowering women and making them feel beautiful and fearless.
“I picture females from all over the world walking into a room feeling like anything is possible in these pieces. Almost warriorlike. Everything I design is made to stand out,” said Slivnyak.
“Knowing that just one woman can feel amazing when putting on a MYKRISTI dress, I know I did my job and my sister would be proud.”
MYKRISTI began as a sustainable luxury women’s sunglasses brand, handcrafted in Italy and made with biodegradable materials with unique silhouette designs.
Soon after, MYKRISTI expanded into evening wear for women of all types offering high-quality cocktail dresses, tops, skirts, and jackets.
Slivnyak will be introducing her new line of footwear and evening dresses at the show on May 18.
“I wanted to create something that made women feel sexy yet classy for any occasion. I’m so excited to share these pieces with the world,” said Slivnyak.
MYKRISTI is excited to partner with Bloomingdale’s in the launch of their spring collection on Saturday, May 18 at Executive Order in Downtown San Francisco.
Slivnyak will be introducing the MYKRISTI Scholarship Fund, where she will present awards to two Academy of Art University students.
