It’s Alive-Stream

After announcing on March 2 that Rakutan Fashion Week Tokyo Autumn/ Winter 2020 was cancelled due to concerns over coronavirus, Rakutan did whatever they could to make up for the loss of the yearly event to disappointed designers and people involved in putting together this event, it comes in the form of live-streaming.

Rakutan is using their website to show the 2020 collection of some of the brands which were scheduled to participate, one of those brands include the Asia Fashion Collection, which just had a runway show over at New York Fashion Week.

Live-streaming will take place with any given designer at their scheduled time, plus photos and videos will be uploaded continuously if you miss the scheduled live-stream of one designer.

Coronavirus has already reared its ugly head on the fashion industry last Friday when Informa announced that it would cancel its New York Women’s Trade Show originally scheduled for May 4 and 5.

And live-streaming was recommended by Daniel plus Lauren last Wednesday as a means to keep Broadway from losing any revenue because of coronavirus, a day before the iron curtain finally forced Broadway to go dark.
