Now It Hits Home
Informa, the parent company of such trade shows like Coterie, Moda, Fame, Accessorie Circuit, Accessories The Show, and Destination, as well as Children’s Club, and Men’s Project, which are held weeks before or during New York Fashion Week, announced on Friday that it’s canceling its upcoming women’s trade show originally scheduled to take place in New York’s Hudson Yards at the Javits Center on May 4 and 5, due to evolving concerns over coronavirus.
Informa said this was a difficult decision to make, considering the global uncertainty, health, well-being, and safety of their visitors who are frequent in attending these trade shows, including Daniel plus Lauren, who’s attended Informa shows for over 9 years.
Informa’s hearts go out to those affected by the coronavirus pandemic in the fashion industry and beyond, continuing to follow the situation in all official news and information sources out there, and did reassure attendees and exhibitors that Informa will move forward with the August version of NY WOMEN’s happening August 2 to August 4.
If not the Coterie women’s trade show that takes place during New York Fashion Week, this edition of the NY WOMEN’S happens every January, May, and August, with Informa returning to the original rotation of scheduled shows, and Intermezzo making a comeback.
For the moment, Informa plans to proceed with Project Men’s July 19 through 21, Children’s Club with NY WOMEN’S August 2 through 4, and Coterie September 22 through 24, all taking place at the Javits Center at New York’s Hudson Yards.
