Keep The Passion Burning

Rosie O’ Donnell announced Tonight on Broadway.com that she’s reviving “The Rosie O’ Donnell Show” for one night only, which will be live-streamed on Broadway.com and Broadway.com’s YouTube channel this Sunday night at 7 p.m. EDT to raise money for The Actor’s Fund, a foundation to support actors in hard times like this moment in time right now, thanks to coronavirus, which has closed all of Broadway since March 12 at 5 p.m. EDT.

The live-streaming reboot of “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” will feature the show’s original music director, John McDaniel, as well as be co-produced by Erich Bergen, who’s best known for acting roles in “Waitress” and “Madam Secretary”.

This livestream benefit will feature a laundry list of performances and appearances by big names like Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Broderick, Tituss Burgess, Neil Patrick Harris, Beth Behrs, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Barry Manilow, Billy Porter, Darren Criss, Lauren Patton, Jordin Sparks, and Ben Vereen.

Rosie O’ Donnell added that people that know Rosie personally are aware that Broadway has been the brightest light in Rosie’s life, and it’s time for us to give something back to Broadway because Broadway has given so much to the world, and making a donation to The Actor’s Fund by visiting give.actorsfund.org/Rosie is no better way to do it, and watching the benefit too.

It was only 3 days ago that yours truly (Daniel plus Lauren) recommended the live-streaming benefit idea for Broadway actors affected by the closures caused by coronavirus, as well as for proprietor purposes also, after writing 3 articles over the course of 3 days last week into the start of the week were in now that finally got to the idea.
