Regards Beyond The Stage

The great shutdown of Broadway continues to linger on as COVID19 intensifies and the nationwide shutdown extends to April 30, so Variety reports today that Streaming Musicals is hosting a virtual opening night for the production of “Pride and Prejudice” on April 10, a new adaptation by Paul Gordon.

Streaming Musicals also includes Gordon’s 2 other musicals such as “Emma” and “No One Called Ahead”, as well as Will Reynolds, “The Haunted”, and other Broadway shorts; performers will garner revenue from money made by renting or buying to see these productions.

Though, Streaming Musicals has been up for 2 years so far, there’s more of a push by yours truly (Daniel plus Lauren) for true Broadway productions to take up live-streaming, along with setting a pricing structure to benefit both production and performance space as the coronavirus has shut Broadway down.

And Variety also added that the movie/ musical adaptation of “Wicked” originally set for December 22, 2021, is now undated due to COVID19z
