Not Even Any House Lights On

Delfont Mackintosh Theatres is another line of theatre groups in the United Kingdom throwing in the towel today, as they have canceled all stage performances up until May 31 due to COVID19.

Anybody who’s booked directly with Delfont Mackintosh for a performance that’s been canceled will be contacted to arrange an exchange for a later date, credit note, or refund depending on one’s preference.

Additional information includes those who have booked tickets via a ticket agent will also be contacted directly, and are informing those who have tickets to performances after May 31 to not contact Delfont, those after this date will be informed if there’s any further cancellations.

Delfont’s not alone in cancelling performances, Ambassador Theatre Group suspended their performances also till May 31, as the U.K. is now on lockdown along with the U.S.

In the meantime, there’s one saving grace that both the West End and Broadway can take note of, live-streaming has already had over a million views on YouTube from places like National Theatre and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Shows Must Go On”, both already hitting over a million views.
