Fashion Mingle held its Friday webinar today to focus on “Pivoting Your Fashion Career To Create Social Impact” with special guest, Angel Pai, who’s multi-talented in modeling, acting, jewelry design, and being a humanitarian that’s enabled Angel to turn career success into good.
Angel’s biggest talent is her ability to pivot, parlaying talents starting out with modeling, which then led to an acting role which led to more, but Angel got into the groove of interviewing key fashion figures and celebrities, so Angel thought it was a perfect time to take her desire to be a journalist and do humanitarian pieces when reporting for NYC Media.
Angel also revealed her passion to make statement jewelry pieces, jewelry sculptures that stem from family or personal passions that don’t have a price tag when being offered a huge sum of money to sell your jewelry brand, at least without serious thought and condition behind the sale.
As brands are at a crossroads to pivot from brick and mortar to digital/ virtual operations as well as produce what’s only needed to survive the ramifications of COVID19, Angel reveals that models who started out very young in fashion never went to college, and are having to pivot their lives to attend college after working in fashion since they were young.
One real takeaway from this webinar with Angel Pai is if you’re in a moment in your life where you’re job sucks, and you want to pursue your passion instead, then do it, and learn everything about the people, places, and things in your pursuit of passion.
Plus, no one else is responsible for you not pursuing your dreams or something you want to do in life, you are the one who steers and pivots your own ship, you got the power, don’t give your power away by saying this or that reason, take your power back rephrasing it by saying it was your choice.
