Javits Center in New York City made a tremendous milestone on Friday, their last patient left the makeshift COVID19 hospital with the frontline workers, military, and Javits Center staff applauding the patient’s progress and ability to go home and recover from COVID19.

Javits Center converted to a COVID19 hospital early last month to address the groundswell of COVID19 cases, preparing for an upcoming surge in the pandemic at the time.

Though the curve is flattening in the epicenter of COVID19, and military staff will be redeployed next week, WABC-TV reports that the Javits Center won’t be broken down yet, key FEMA equipment and medical supplies will remain in place in case of a second wave.
